“When I think about how Gary used to be when assisting newer creators, it is hard to equate Corinne to him. Where Gary was gruff, Corinne is pleasant. Gary was curt, and Corinne is kind. Gary would dole out compliments like they were precious metals, Corinne encourages freely.   However, when you really drill down to it, Corinne does exactly what Gary did just in a different way. Gary challenged people to make them better at their craft, Corinne uses a much gentler approach. The results are the same though. They both lift other creators up to improve the world of comics as a whole.  Corinne is always happy to answer questions about the creative process, the comic business, or even just some friendly banter. I especially love that Corinne offers a number of free classes on drawing at libraries for kids!   Her kindness and generosity of spirit make her a perfect candidate for this award.”
